OVERVIEW OF THE HOME INSPECTION

CERTIFICATION COURSE:

Real estate inspection is a technical and complex event that demands knowledge and professional expertise. Home inspectors perform objective visual inspections of buildings and make a written report of the condition of the property for purchasers or owners. The home inspector must be able to recognize any serious condition that could entail monetary loses for the potential home owner. Home inspectors need extensive knowledge in many areas of residential construction such as: foundations, wood and frame construction, roofing, plumbing, electrical, heating and ventilation, air conditioning and heating, appliances, termites and wood-destroying insects and environmental concerns. 

Our Home Inspection Education Program consists of five modules and has been approved by the NYS Department of State. A1 Real Estate & Insurance Institute is offering a comprehensive training program to cover all five modules with an experienced and knowledgeable instructor who is approved and licensed by the New York State Department. Modules 1 - 4 are independent 25 hour courses each with a 50 question final exam, totaling 100 hours. Module 5 is a 40 hour unpaid Supervised Inspection Training Program.
